SUNDAY SCHOOL

Oaky Grove Church is committed to Sunday School. 

We believe that it is through Sunday School when children receive their first understanding of the principles of God's Word. It is in Sunday School where the new believer will have questions of God and faith answered.  It is also in Sunday School where deep relationships within the body of Christ are formed. 

Therefore, we recently renewed our commitment to our Sunday School by increasing the number of classes, updating our curriculum, and installing new teachers.  At Oaky Grove there is something for everybody in Sunday School.

Children

Children are a gift from God. They are given to parents, and it is the responsibility of parents to give their children back to God. Giving a child to God involves first the surrender of the parents' will to the will of God.

The children's groups are offered in 4 different age groups:  preschool & kindergarten, 1st & 2nd grades, 3rd & 4th grades, and middle school.  All of these groups meet upstairs in the education building.

Youth
Young people must be taught the clear commandments of God's Word. The Bible says in II Timothy 2:2, "And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also."

The purpose of the local church youth ministry is to help equip families with the necessary tools from God's Word to lay the right foundation for the rest of life.  Youth Sunday School is grounded in God's Word to pour more into that foundation.
